The Moblees’ mission is to get preschoolers, aged 3-6 years old, and their families up and moving throughout their days. Our engaging multi-platform program was created by a team of entertainment experts, PhD’s, medical doctors, nutritionists, and educators to promote healthy active living with a proven combination of humour, music, compelling characters, and adventurous, interactive narratives. The Moblees experience is part active participation, part lifestyle education, and 100% fun!
The Moblees’ multi-platform “MOVEMENT Movement” is a global initiative that fosters Healthy Active Living and aims to inspire a foundational change in the way children aged 3-6 and their families move through their daily lives.
By encouraging positive healthy habits for life and engaging in early intervention strategies for reducing childhood obesity, The Moblees is recognized for its ability to engage children and support parents and caregivers in raising happy, healthy, active kids. Seamlessly integrating anti-sedentary behaviours, movement, nutrition, and other healthy habits into The Moblees’ compelling entertainment formula, and thereby incorporating these healthy behaviours into the natural progression of daily life, it is our primary goal that The Moblees’ Healthy Active Living messages intrinsically become seeded within the consciousness of children and parents everywhere.
The Moblees #1 curriculum goal is to decrease sedentary behaviour while increasing physical activity. Young children spend an average of 50% of their waking time in sedentary activities such as sitting in strollers, passively watching TV, playing games on tablets, and riding in car seats. This lack of physical movement is a contributing factor to the global childhood obesity epidemic, which is causing a broad range of health problems including bone and joint problems, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, insulin-resistant pre-diabetes, fatty liver, elevated blood cholesterol levels, and several types of cancer, as well as a number of negative social and psychological effects including negative body image, depression, and stigmatization. Plus, the cost of obesity is extraordinarily high. In June, 2013, The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations stated that obesity is costing the world economy around $1.4 trillion dollars a year!
